Over the past few weeks, we've seen quite a few New Balance 2002Rs get announced. From the "Camel" to the "Sea Salt," each one is more unique than the next, but we've never seen something quite like the upcoming New Balance 2002R "White Red Navy." One of the latest colorways to hit the ever-popular NB silhouette, it takes the classic runner to rugged new heights. If you're in the market for a pair of utilitarian sneakers, then you should be paying attention to this particular pair.
Working on top of a red mesh base that's more breathable than ever thanks to a slightly reworked design, this 2002R is overlaid with crisp white leather panels and accented with navy hits throughout the upper. These three hues make their way throughout the entire shoe for an aesthetic that looks like it's been swiped straight from the archives, and its sits on top of a cream ABZORB midsole that offers a very vintage vibe. Of course, you can't talk about this rendition without mentioning the waterproof pocket that's secured to the laces. Fastened with a single zip, you can store all of your essentials here. With that said, if you're not the biggest fan of this feature, you can slip it right off with no dramas.
What's there not to love about the New Balance 2002R White Red Navy? Expected to release in 2023, it will be available in men's sizes with a retail price yet TBA.
