Initially released as a silhouette exclusive to Japan, the New Balance 580 has been revived and continues to make its mark globally. Recently, the model has been spotted in renditions like the pre-worn “Grey Blue” and will have two colorways exclusive to European-based retailer size?. Unlike these previously mentioned colorways, NB is bringing us one of the cleanest looks yet — a stealthy "Black Grey."
Featuring a combination of suede, cracked leather, mesh, and TPU throughout its upper, the silhouette gets dressed in black and grey shades with hints of white. The premium suede on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, as well as the mesh panels on the toe, collar, and tongue, come in various black shades. Light grey hits on the nubuck toebox overlay, and the heel pop amongst the darker tones while we see a hit of white take over the TPU near the collar. Cracked leather details can be spotted on the “N” logo along the midfoot and on a panel just below the iconic logo. Rounding out the design is the two-tone grey and black midsole with ROLLBAR technology in the heel paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 580 Black Grey will release this year through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
