Just in case you haven't already noticed, New Balance is bringing the 580 back in a big way. After releasing a Palace collaboration earlier this season and unveiling the "Beige" and "Navy," the Boston-based brand is now adding another must-have colorway into the mix with the New Balance 580v2 "Beef & Broccoli." Originally a Japan-exclusive silhouette, the fact that we're finally getting this model almost 30 years later is beyond exciting.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 993 "Brown" that released back in 2021, this 580v2 work on top of a lush green mesh base with earthy brown suede panels wrapping throughout. Black rubber paneling across the lateral and medial sidewalls give it that rugged look and feel that the OG was known for, and all of this sits on top of an extra chunky Rollbar midsole that's offers the perfect balance between comfort and support. Of course, you can't talk about this silhouette with mentioning the retro-styled branding that features on the tongue, finalizing the old school design.
Expected to release in 2023, the New Balance 580v2 Beef & Broccoli will be available in men's sizes alongside a complementary 9060.
