Teddy Santis at the helm of New Balance’s Made in USA collection has been a major success. The seasonal collections and inline releases done by Teddy and the NB team continue to resonate with the core audience of New Balance and have attracted new customers through these premium color palettes. Continuing with the Season 6 collection, Teddy brought a semi-familiar New Balance 990v6 Made in USA in Dark Ember.
Somewhat similar to the Burgundy colorway that dropped almost a year ago to the day, the silhouette retains the premium pigskin suede construction found on many Made in USA products. A dark ember red shade graces the suede mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, while the woven mesh base comes in a vintage cream hue. Black nubuck panels run along the toebox to the midfoot, passing below the grey and white N logo. More white shades hit the lace set and the sockliner, while we see silver details for the New Balance branding on the tongue, lateral heel, and heel tab. Unlike other pairs by Teddy Santis, this colorway opts for a standard New Balance-branded insole, forgoing the retro typeface logo. Finishing the design is the grey, cream, and white FuelCell-cushioned foam midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Dark Ember will release on Halloween, October 31, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
