New Balance has long been celebrated for its 99X series, a collection that has grown to encompass a myriad of sneakers, each with unique charm and appeal. The latest addition to this esteemed line is the New Balance 990v6, a model that has already received various makeovers, including those from Teddy Santis' seasonal collections. However, the brand continues to surprise and delight with its inline releases. For Spring 2024, New Balance is set to launch the 990v6 Made in USA Workwear, an inline release promising to stand out in the brand's portfolio.
The New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Workwear is a masterful blend of aesthetics and craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the durability and functionality of workwear and coming similar to the Carhartt 990v6 and 9060 Workwear, this sneaker features a color palette of tan hues accented by touches of grey, silver, and white. Using pigskin suede on the mudguard, midfoot, heel, and eyestays gives the shoe a robust and premium feel. This suede is complemented by a grey perforated nubuck at the toe and midfoot, adding texture and depth to the design.
The iconic "N" logo is prominently placed in the center of the profile, backed in white for a sharp contrast. Additional branding includes the 990 and New Balance logos on the lateral heel, heel tab, and tongue tag, solidifying the shoe's identity. The design is completed with a white and grey FuelCell-cushioned foam midsole, offering unparalleled comfort and support, paired with a grey and black outsole for durability and traction.
The New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Workwear will release March 2024 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.
