The partnership between Teddy Santis, the brilliant mind behind Aime Leon Dore, and New Balance has been nothing short of transformative for the footwear landscape. With Teddy now at the helm of New Balance's Made in USA series, sneakerheads have been treated to a refreshing wave of refined takes on classic silhouettes. Alongside New Balance 990v4 “White Green” and the New Balance 990v6 “Pale Yellow,” we are now introduced to the final installment of Santis’ Season 3 collection: the New Balance 996 "Pale Yellow.”
Teddy’s latest take on the New Balance 996 Made in USA basks in a delicate shade of pale yellow. This hue swathes across the sneaker's leather overlays and breathable mesh base. Green, tan, black, and white tastefully interject, bringing dimension and contrast to the design. A crisp white lacing system and sockliner create a captivating juxtaposition against the mellow cream tongue and the rich tan suede that cradles the collar. The heel showcases a subtle black hit, and the green "N" logo is beautifully framed with a white leather border. As a finishing touch, the sneaker stands tall on a tri-toned cream, green, and white foam midsole, seamlessly complemented by a black and white rubber outsole.
The New Balance 996 Made in USA by Teddy Santis Pale Yellow saw a surprise release via Aime Leon Dore's website on August 25, 2023, and will release September 7 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
