Earlier this year, Teddy Santis and New Balance dropped previews of the New Balance Made in USA Season 6 collection, showcasing many models that will hit shelves before the year’s end. As we approach the last few releases of the collection, we’re getting more detailed imagery of select colorways, including another 998 colorway that will join the NB Navy Chrome Blue rendition this November.
Like the aforementioned NB Navy Chrome Blue colorway, similar colorblocking is applied to this 998 Incense Sandstone. Premium nubuck in a tan shade lands along the mudguard and midfoot panel, while the heel overlay accents this by taking on a golden tan pigskin suede finish. The TPU panel on the collar and the nubuck vamp match this golden tan. White is utilized for the lacing setup and the NB logo on the heel. Another tan hue is found on the pigskin suede N logo, lined with white leather. A retro typeface for the New Balance-branded tongue and insole, alongside the exposed foam on the tongue lining, adds a vintage flair to the color. Finishing the upper are the tonal mesh hits on the toebox and collar and a light blue shade on the sockliner. Down below, the model comes with the usual Abzorb midsole in a two-tone tan paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 998 Made in USA Incense Sandstone will release on November 28, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $210.
