Zach LaVine, who signed with New Balance in 2022, was pivotal in developing the Fresh Foam BB v2. His work with New Balance's design team resulted in a sneaker that encapsulates performance and personal style. “This is my favorite performance shoe, hands down, and I am proud of the work I did with the design team,” Said Zach. “This is the only shoe I want to wear when I get back out on the court. We also have some fire PE’s coming this season that I can’t wait to showcase.”
The Moonbeam colorway, in particular, draws inspiration from Zach's elegant off-court identity, adding a subtle yet significant touch of style to this high-performance model.
The sneaker's technical aspects are equally impressive. It features a dual-density Fresh Foam midsole, combining firmer foam on the perimeter with softer foam directly underfoot for unparalleled comfort and responsiveness. This thoughtful design ensures a smooth heel-to-toe transition, essential for players who make quick, dynamic moves on the court. The hexagonal outsole pattern is another standout feature, offering elite-level traction that supports swift, agile movements.
