As we approach the New York City Marathon, New Balance is preparing to launch its latest performance running sneaker, the Fresh Foam X 1080v14. While the debut inline colorways are launching on the 10th, launch day will also see two colorways crafted in celebration of New York’s marathon race.
Coming in two colorways, one in White and the other in Inkwell, both have an updated engineered mesh base that allows for increased breathability while providing lockdown. The White rendition sees this base layer come in the titular hu, while the N logo on the midfoot and a TPU overlay extending from this logo feature a purple graphic depicting runners participating in a race. On the Inkwell, this graphic is replaced with a textured TPU in a contrasting silver-grey shade, popping amongst the deep blue hues of the mesh base. New York City is proudly displayed on both pairs along the N logo, with the TCS New York City Marathon logo landing atop the tongue and insole. Down below, both pairs feature the new data-informed Fresh Foam X cushioning setup that provides support where you need it the most and a zonal rubber traction pattern.
The New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v14 TCS NYC Marathon Pack will release on October 10, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180 for each colorway.
