New Balance may forever be tied to its heritage designs and "dad shoe" aesthetic. However, the brand has been looking into the future with models like the WRPD Runner. The silhouette, introducted in 2023, has undergone various makeovers, including the recently previewed Snakeskin colorway and an upcoming collaboration with Auralee. A Ginger Lemon colorway has appeared after the launch of the Dusted Grape and Light Chrome Blue.
This latest variant of the WRPD Runner, following closely on the heels of the Dusted Grape and Light Chrome Blue colorways, showcases New Balance's commitment to pushing the envelope in sneaker design. The Ginger Lemon edition employs a playful yet sophisticated palette, highlighting suede overlays in a zesty lemon hue complemented by a base of black mesh. The classic New Balance N logo is elegantly embroidered in white, contrasting beautifully against the sneaker's darker elements. Additional white accents adorn the heel tab and sockliner, further enhancing the visual appeal of this unique colorway. Underfoot, a grey FuelCell-cushioned midsole provides state-of-the-art comfort and support, seamlessly integrated with a black and grey outsole for a cohesive and stylish finish.
The New Balance WRPD Runner Ginger Lemon will release in 2024 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
