Jordan Brand teamed up with BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester to unveil an all-new colorway of the Jordan Air Ship. Now, a few months after the reveal of this F&F pair, we have first looks at the retail version set to hit shelves in the coming weeks.
This GR version of the Jordan Air Ship PE SP is known as the "Every Game" edition. While the two closely resemble one another, the retail release removes Nigel's "Bike Air" theme for an MJ-inspired "UNC" inspiration. The term "Every Game" honors Michael Jordan's professional basketball career, in which he wore his University of North Carolina shorts underneath his Bulls uniform for every game.
Other noticeable differences in the design mostly come via material switches. The full-grain leather upper we saw on Nigel Sylvester's F&F pair has been replaced with cracked leather. However, the blue suede details remain via the Swoosh branding and the collar.
Another change is the replacement of the grey suede vamp and eyelets to match the same blue hue as the rest of the suede panels. The phrase "Every Game" embroidered in white replaces the "Bike Air" branding on the back heel. We also see the removal of the mini Swoosh located on the toecap, instead opting for a clean unbranded finish for this GR version. Rounding out the look is a sail midsole and blue rubber outsole.
The Jordan Air Ship PE SP Every Game will be released on May 10th, 2023, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $140.
