Archival silhouettes have been and are currently the hottest trend in the footwear industry as brands across the spectrum have taken the liberty of digging through their older designs and thrusting them into the modern-day landscape of sneakers. Even if many of Nike’s most popular designs are retro models, plenty of sneakers from this same period never got the same love and eventually make returns every few years with the Nike Air Adjust Force being a prime example. Prior to its return in 2022 courtesy of Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH, the silhouette had been in the vault for nearly two decades and like many collaborations-reviving-sneakers, GR colorways are soon to hit the scene. On top of the “White Metallic Silver” rendition, The Swoosh is giving us a “Black Multi-Color” Nike Air Adjust Force.
Oozing 90s vibes thanks to its chunky, multi-paneled design, the sneaker partakes in primarily black shades across its tumbled leather upper with accenting hits of galaxy-Esque gradients throughout. These blueish-purple hues come dressing the eyestays and the forefoot straps containment system with the latter of the two also hosting a cutout Swoosh detail in the same color along the midfoot. Atop the tongue sits more Nike branding in an identical color scheme while the collar and sockliner keep things stealthy with its black finish. Underfoot sits a sanddrift-colored foam midsole with a visible Air unit in the heel. Rounding out the entire design is the rubber outsole in a tri-tone purple, black, and sanddrift finish.
The Nike Air Adjust Force Black Multi-Color W is set to release on April 27th, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
