The Nike Air Flight 89 is one of the most underrated basketball silhouettes of all-time. Baring a resemblance to the Air Jordan 4, the Flight 89 has often been overlooked in the eyes of the newer generation. Still, it has a small cult following that makes NSW continue to bring the model back from time to time.
While its resurgence continues in 2023, the Nike Air Flight 89 is still flying under the radar. With the original "Stormtrooper" pair set for a comeback, another OG-style pair is on the way as well. Coming in a theme that would fit right in with Charles Barkley during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers, this pair is dressed in white, dark royal blue, and varsity red. Featuring a classic white-based leather upper, royal blue accents highlight the majority of the sneaker. Small hits of grey can be seen via the plastic lace tabs, with red accenting the "Nike Air" branding on the back heels as well as the "Air" embroidery on the tongue.
The Nike Air Flight 89 White Royal Red is scheduled to release in Fall 2023. It will be available via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store retailers. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $130. Make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App to stay up to date on all future sneaker releases.
