Returning to the 90s, the combination of the legendary Eric Avar and Tinker Hatfield gave us some of the most iconic sneaker designs. One of these that has, unfortunately, been shelved since 2015 is the Nike Air Flight Huarache. Taking the “t-shirt for your foot” Air Huarache and scaling it up for basketball, plenty of the greats from the late 90s and early 2000s rocked the pair on the hardwood court. Alongside Kobe Bryant’s PE colorway, the OG pair, and a "Nike Gear" themed pair releasing in 2023, we are set to receive a Black Lyon Blue rendition this Holiday season.
Constructed out of suede, mesh, TPU, and neoprene across its upper, this Air Flight Huarache comes primarily covered in black shades with pops of Lyon Blue visible near the midfoot, sockliner, and on the Nike-branded heel tab. Black suede details wrap the toebox, midfoot, and collar, while the tongue and inner lining take on a neoprene construction. TPU reinforcements on the heel are seen in black (sans the previously mentioned Nike Air-branded portion). Finishing the upper is the black lace set, while the entire design is complete through a black-on-black Huarache midsole and outsole.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache Black Lyon Blue is set to release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
