In case you've been living under a rock for the past few months, you'd know that 2022 marks 40 years since Bruce Kilgore introduced the Air Force 1 to the world. To celebrate this massive milestone, the Beaverton-based sportswear giant has been unveiled a ton of must-have AF1 colorways, including the Nike Air Force 1 Low 40th Anniversary "Sail Malachite" which is a special as it gets.
Arriving in a cream sail colorway, these Forces are crafted from tumbled leather that's soft to the touch. Bold malachite green Swooshes shoot across the lateral and medial side panels, while complementary hues dress the tongue and heel badge. Speaking of which, the number "40" is debossed here alongside a quartet of stars, and the year "1982" is printed on the insoles and etched on the metallic gold dubrae to denote the year that the basketball shoe made its official on-court debut. This is all finished off with a clean white Air sole, rounding off the design.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low 40th Anniversary Sail Malachite W releases this Holiday 2022 just in time to celebrate the Air Force 1's birthday.
