Over the past year, Nike has been celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Air Force 1 with a vast range of wild and futuristic color schemes. As the year comes to a close, however, the Beaverton-based sportswear giant is taking a second to remember its roots with the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Athletic Company." Before the brand became the billionaire behemoth that it is today, it was an independent label by athletes, for athletes.
Featuring a full leather construction that's done up in a tumbled texture, this Air Force 1 works on top of a crisp sail base while lush noble green panels wrapping around the lacing system, toebox, and Swoosh. Speaking of which, these have been highlighted with a striking opti yellow outline that gives off old school varsity aesthetics. A pair of pre-aged laces add to the vintage vibe, and this special edition colorway is finished off with "Nike: The Sports & Athletic Company" branding printed on the insoles, complete with a flag motif for some serious nostalgia.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Athletic Company Noble Green is releasing in Spring 2023 alongside an Air Max 97 and Dunk Low in men's sizes with a retail price of $130. Expected to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store retailers, make sure you keep it locked for your best chance to cop, and hit us up on Twitter and ourMobile App to be kept up to date with the hottest sneaker and streetwear releases and news!
