For the Nike Air Force 1, its timeless design and revered history have proven the silhouette to be a canvas on which Nike and its countless collaborators can bring stories and themes to life. Examples of this are too plentiful to add up and would require its own dedicated writeup, however, for its latest rendition of the Bruce Kilgore-designed model we see Nike bring themes of fresh veggies and picnics to the silhouette with the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Farmer's Market.”
Taking on a two-tone color palette and combo of leather and canvas, the silhouette is covered in shades of sail and grey with the former of the two (both material and color) seen on the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and Swoosh logo. A single hit of gold is present thanks to the AF1-branded lace dubrae while the tongue and lace set both stay in the realm of white, however, the tongue tag above features Nike text in a bubble font with “Designed Fresh” and nods to Beaverton, Oregon present. This hippy-like theme continues onto the insole with a graphic depicting a Nike-branded tote bag overflowing with veggies and the heel tab’s black, white, and grey flannel-like design adds to the outdoor-picnic vibes. Finishing the upper is the grey canvas found on the toebox and quarter panel while everything is completed by a sail midsole and outsole with the former of the two featuring “AIR” branding in a contrasting shade.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Farmer's Market is set to release on May 25th, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
