Nike is certainly no stranger when it comes to releasing sneakers inspired by the LA Lakers, and for the Holiday season, the Beaverton-based brand will be providing the Air Force 1 a "Lakers Alternate" edition. Giving the traditional palette a subtle yet striking twist, here’s what you need to know!
While other Lakers-like colorways work mostly on a white base with purple and gold hits throughout, these Forces completely invert this. Bearing more of a resemblance to the LA team’s “Statement” kit, the pebbled leather upper is painted in a bold cave purple hue, while luxe gold solar flare hues adorn the Swoosh branding on the side panels and tongue. Underfoot, the Air midsole has been left in an all-white tone, and this is then complemented by a purple rubber outsole, finalizing the design.
Launching this Holiday 2022 in gradeschool sizing for $90, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Lakers Alternate GS will be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select stockists both online and in-store.
