Nike and the rest of the sneaker industry are prepping to celebrate the Chinese New Year in 2025, with the Chinese zodiac being the Year of the Snake. There are plans for pairs like the kids’ exclusive Dunk Low, an Air Force 1 Low, and a series of sneakers from Jordan Brand. However, a not-so-subtle homage to the snake theme will reach three Air Force 1 colorways in early 2025.
Not directly tied to the Year of the Snake celebration, as there is no use of Chinese characters or thematic ties to the zodiac besides faux snakeskin, the three colorways include Off Noir, Summit White, and Doll. Each pair features tonal hues across the paneling and accenting hits on the Swoosh. Faux snakeskin lands on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, while the toebox and midfoot panel come from leather. Suede details appear on the contrasting Swoosh and heel tab, while canvas is utilized for the tongue. Nike Air logos on the tongue tag and heel come in the same shade as the Swoosh on the midfoot, keeping branding consistent throughout the design. Down below sits a tonal midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Snakeskin Pack will release in February 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, each pair's retail price is $125.
