As one of the most iconic sneakers of all time, the Nike Air Force 1 continues to be a canvas for Nike to bring forth new design elements. Even with new versions, like the upcoming women’s exclusive AF1 Wild, hitting the scene, Nike is bringing us more colorways on the standard AF1 we all love. Borrowing from the recent trend of “Split” colorways, as seen on the Dunk Low, Air Trainer 1, and a handful of AF1s, a clean Split “Black Light Silver” has appeared.
Taking inspiration from the past with a modern twist, the shoe features a neutral color palette of black, light silver, phantom, and white, with black leather overlays on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel. Adding to the split motif, a split-colored lace set graces the all-black tongue, with black on the bottom half and light silver on the top half. More hits of split details are featured on the tongue tag and insole's Nike logo, mixing vintage Nike branding with the current-day design. The shoe is finished with a white AF1 midsole with light silver accents on the "AIR" branding and a tri-toned light silver, phantom, and white rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Split Black Light Silver is set to release during the holiday season of 2023 through Nike and select online and in-store retailers. The shoe will come in men's sizing, with a retail price of $130.
