Design themes that make their way to various silhouettes is something we’ve seen from Nike for decades now, adding unique twists to their staple offerings and applying them across the board. For 2023, it seems “Split” designs will become commonplace as we’ve already seen the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Chicago” utilize a split Swoosh and sole unit. Continuing this aesthetic, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Split has just appeared in a “Chlorophyll” colorway.
Taking on a tumbled leather and smooth leather construction across the upper, light silver panels appear on the mudguard, eyestays, partially on the Swoosh, and back on the heel overlay while the toebox and quarter panel come in all-white. On the tongue, white-on-white shades appear thanks to the lace set while the tongue tag above features split branding between a retro Nike logo and a more modern-day version of the logo. This is also present on the insole as well as the Swoosh with the lateral side’s logo getting a grey finish on the front and black on the back half. Inverting this colorblocking is the Swoosh on the medial side, however, both end up at the white heel tab featuring black “Nike Air” embroidery. Underfoot sits a coconut milk-shaded AF1 midsole paired with a split rubber outsole that comes in light silver on the back half and white on the front half.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Split Chlorophyll is set to release Fall 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
