The "Tartan" Collection has got to be one of Nike's worst kept secrets. After checking out the Air Force 1 and Dunk High last week, we're now taking our first ever look at the Nike Air Force 1 Mid LX Tartan "Pale Ivory University Red." The latest release to get the check treatment, this is probably one of the more understated colorways in the perfectly plaid pack.
Boasting an all-leather construction that's smooth and supple to the touch, the Air Force 1 Mid LX works on top of a creamy pale ivory base which gives off some very vintage vibes. This hue extends all the way towards the tongue tag and heel badge, and is contrasted by fiery university red panels throughout that are made to turn heads. A small black Swoosh is stitched onto the ankle strap, and bigger ones glide through the laterals and medials complete with a traditional tartan pattern. This all sits on top of an off-white Air midsole, and is rounded off with a contrast rubber outsole, finalizing the design.
The Nike Air Force 1 Mid LX Tartan Pale Ivory University Red is set to release in Spring 2023. Expected to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers both online and in physical locations, they will retail for $150 in men's sizes.
