Nike is turning its gaze to the upcoming Year of the Dragon (YOTD), a significant event in the Chinese Zodiac that will span throughout 2024 with the Nike Air Force 1 Mid. It's noteworthy that this YOTD release won't be solitary - the much-admired Nike KD 4 is expected to get its "YOTD 2.0" rendition next year, further celebrating this Chinese Zodiac sign.
This women's Air Force 1 Mid takes a minimalist approach to the YOTD theme, featuring an immaculate all-white leather upper. The mudguard, eyestays, midfoot panel, and heel all carry the pristine white leather, with the only contrast coming from the faux reptile leather on the Swoosh and ankle strap. Iridescent hits line the Swoosh and take over the heel tab, providing a shimmering effect that mimics the mythical creature it represents. Finally, the white Air Force 1 midsole sits atop a semi-translucent rubber outsole in an icy blue hue.
The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Year of the Dragon W will release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
