Without a shadow of a doubt, the Air Huarache is one of Tinker Hatfield's most iconic sneakers of all time. Created by the architect-turned-sneaker designer back in the early '90s, while the silhouette has had a few offshoots over the past 32 years, at its core, it has remained pretty much exactly the same. With that said, the vintage model is now getting its biggest and most prominent redesign yet with the Nike Air Huarache Craft. Coming in 2023 is this clean "Summit White Gum" colorway.
Arriving in a crispy clean summit white hue, while the Air Huarache Craft still features the signature neoprene sock, everything else has been completely reworked from the ground up. Nodding to the "Craft" part of its name, the lateral and medial side panels are decorated with a fine suede cage that's giving us serious Osiris vibes, and oversized pull tabs along the tongue and heel offer up a utilitarian aesthetic. Nike Swooshes ventures onto the sides and toe area, where you'll also find a healthy portion of mesh for optimum ventilation. Underfoot, the foam midsole seems to be inspired by the Beaverton brand's ISPA line, and this is then lined with a gum rubber outsole that provides a pop of contrast and a dash of durability.
The Nike Air Huarache Craft Summit White Gum W is scheduled to release in Spring 2023 in women's sizes for $130. Expected to launch at Nike and select retailers more colorways are expected to be unveiled over the coming months, so make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App if you haven't already!
