Designed by Tinker Hatfield and debuting in 1991, the Nike Air Huarache runner was an instant hit. Retroed numerous times over the past 30+ years, the Huarache has gone from a simple GR to one of the most hyped silhouettes. As Nike Sportswear continues to dish out a Huarache revival on us with OG-style colorways, a familiar ACG theme is coming back as well.
Last seen in 2007 as a part of the “Mowabb” Pack, this old school colorway has been one of the most coveted in recent years. With the revival of the ACG Mowabb in 2021, it's no surprise to see the theme make its way onto classic Nike silhouettes. Inspired by the original “Rattan Birch” edition, these Huarache’s feature a birch-based leather upper with a perforated toe box. Royal Blue and orange accent the Neoprene while a black plastic heel clip and paint splattered midsole round things out.
The Nike Air Huarache Mowabb Rattan Birch is set to be released in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers both in-store and online. Available in men’s sizes, retail is set at $120. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
