Nike has treated the classic Air Max 1 with respect over the last few years. While the Tinker Hatfield classic may not be the most hyped sneaker, most colorways released have all been solid. Fans have been given the Air Max 1 '86 OG Big Bubble and OG-style pairs in clean iterations like White Black, University Blue, and Platinum Tint Dark Obsidian. Next is an all-new pair for the ladies in Metallic Platinum Pink Rise.
The Nike Air Max 1 '87 Metallic Platinum Pink Rise comes in metallic platinum, pink rise, flat pewter, summit white, and metallic silver. The platinum-based upper features mesh underlays paired with perforated leather overlays. White laces and sockliner help break up the grey-based theme, accented by pink rise. These hits of pink are present on the suede Nike Swoosh on the sides and mudguard, as well as the top plastic eyelets, Nike Air branding on the tongue tag, back heels, and insoles, as well as the visible Max Air unit in the heel.
The Nike Air Max 1 '87 Metallic Platinum Pink Rise W is set to release in Summer 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, retail is set at $140.
