The Nike Air Max 1 is a paradigm-shifting silhouette that greeted the sneaker landscape 35 years ago, thanks to the visionary Tinker Hatfield. This embodiment of athletic sophistication, which had a spectacular 35th Anniversary celebration in 2022, has seamlessly transitioned into 2023 with various collaborations and the rerelease of the iconic "Big Bubble" version. Enthusing Air Max heads again, Nike presents a delightful addition to cap off the year with the much-anticipated Nike Air Max 1 Bred, embodying a timeless color scheme that has permeated sneaker culture for decades.
Adorning the iconic Nike Air Max 1 silhouette, the "Bred" colorway melds suede and mesh in an articulate style and textural depth presentation. Black suede cascades through the mudguard, vamp, midfoot panel, and heel, while an anthracite mesh, nuanced and subtle, highlights the toe, collar, and tongue. The anthracite hue extends its reach, caressing the Swoosh and sockliner with a gentle contrast to the domineering black. Red, the vital half of the “Bred” narrative, imbues vibrancy into the ensemble, making its presence known on the Air Max logo upon the tongue, the mini Swoosh adorning the lateral toe, and the Air Max branding on the heel tab.
