Updated on •PublishedAir Max Day is March 26th. Expanding on Air Max Day, Nike celebrates its Air Max lineage throughout the month of March each year. We have already seen some 35th Anniversary editions of the Air Max 90 and 97 respectively. 2022 is the Emerald Anniversary for the one that started it all, 1987s Nike Air Max 1. To commemorate all occasions, Nike Sportswear looks to Paris, France on a special edition Air Max 1.
Dubbed the “City Of Light” edition, this Nike Air Max 1 comes in a white, neutral grey, metallic silver and black colorway. Featuring a white-based upper with a mesh toe box and leather ankle. Iridescent overlays tie into the theme of this pair with a grey Swoosh on the sides and mudguard. The date “3.26” is found on the tongue tags with “La Ville-Lumiere” labeling on the insoles and underneath the translucent outsole. This pair also comes in special packaging to commemorate Air Max Day as well as the City Of Light.
