Even with a legacy well cemented into the culture, the Air Max 1 has continued to be a focus for Nike. Celebrating its 35th birthday in 2022, the festivities have bled into 2023 with releases like the Air Max 1 ‘86 OG “Sport Red” bringing back the original “Big Bubble” design. On top of this, we’re getting blessed with a series of remixes to classic colorways like the “Chili,” “Urawa,” and “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin.” However, the latest appears similar to a highly coveted collaboration Nike just created. Accented by a vibrant blue shade, the Nike Air Max 1 SC “Clear Jade” has just emerged.
For its “Clear Jade” accents, we see an almost Tiffany-like blue hue take over the tumbled leather panels along the mudguard and Swoosh branding. These colorful hits get accented by a clean white mesh on the toebox, tongue, and collar. Other neutral hues come in the form of the suede vamp and midfoot panel. Tonal white laces rest just below two more hits of clear jade that take over the Nike Air Max branding atop the tongue and the TPU eyelets nearby. Back on the heel and the sockliner, we see more “Nike Air” text come covered in clear jade. Rounding out the design is the white Air Max 1 midsole paired with a clear jade, white, and black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 SC Clear Jade will release July 20 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $150 and $100, respectively.
