Dating back to 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 is a significant part of Nike’s release calendar. This has held true over the last two years, considering that 2022 marked the model’s 35th birthday, and this celebration seems to extend into 2023. On top of a slew of remixes of classic releases, like the new “Urawa” and "Keep Rippin Stop Slippin 2.0." While last year did see another classic return with the “Crepe Hemp,” another crepe sole Air Max 1 has appeared, this time in “Light Bone.”
Featuring a combination of suede, hemp, and leather across its upper, neutral shades of white/grey contrast the blue and vintage cream seen on select details. Light blue hemp covers the mudguard with more hemp hits, though in a different weave pattern, landing on the pale vanilla Swoosh. For its base layer, white leather allows the grey suede on the vamp, midfoot, and heel to shine. Stark whites continue onto the hemp tongue and lace set, while the other Nike branding comes in a black shade. Rounding out the design is the pale vanilla Air Max 1 midsole paired with a crepe outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Crepe Light Bone will be released in 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
