Nike’s iconic Air Max line began on March 26th, 1987, and has since become a vital part of the brand's identity. Alongside the variety of new models joining the lineup, we still see the classic Air Max 1 get makeovers. Much like how the “Chili” and “Urwara” colorways from the 2000s are returning with some changes, another Air Max 1 from this era (the “Keep Rippin' Stop Slippin') will make a comeback with some slight modifications.
An updated take on the OG, the safari print for this pair gets reinterpreted onto the mudguard and Swoosh's long hairy suede makeup. For its color scheme, we see a mixture of pearl white, black, vast grey, and cedar. Vast grey acts as the primary color for the base mesh while we see the suede overlays on the vamp, midfoot, and heel come in pearl while. Black accents hit the lace set and hairy suede portions with the red-shaded cedar present on the mini Swoosh on the mudguard, sockliner, and Keep Rip'n Stop Slip'n embroidery on the heel. Underfoot sits the white Air Max 1 midsole with a black and cedar rubber outsole.
