Tinker Hatfield forever changed the world of footwear when he created the Air Max 1 in 1986. Decades past the initial use of visible Air cushioning, the model that started this revolution for Nike has remained a constant in Nike’s ever-changing lineup. The Air Max 1 gets a Light Iron Ore color scheme for its latest makeover.
The titular hue of this colorway lines the silhouette’s suede mudguard and the leather Swoosh on the midfoot. Light grey suede finds a home along the vamp and heel, contrasting the sharp white shade on the mesh toe, tongue, and collar. For the midfoot panel, Nike gives the sneaker another hit of grey across the leather panel. Orange hues along the TPU eyelet and Swoosh on the tongue provide a break from the monotone greyscale look. Underfoot sits a white midsole with an orange Air unit in the heel and a grey and orange rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Light Iron Ore releases Holiday 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
