Nike’s Air Max line has a deep history with the model helping popularize both Nike itself and the Air cushioning technology utilized in every silhouette under this banner. Even though most silhouettes come with standard quality materials and simple construction, the “Premium” rendition of the Nike Air Max 1 features a higher quality material makeup with the latest colorway of this variant comes in “Slate Blue.”
Taking on a suede, leather, and mesh construction, the model features hits of black and grey suede, white mesh, and slate blue leather throughout. Black suede runs along the mudguard back to the heel which features embroidered details that look like pine trees while the base layer comes in a stark white mesh. Vlue leather lands on the vamp with greyish-blue laces contrasting the grey suede midfoot panel. Our final hit of accenting color comes in the form of the TPU eyestays and Nike branding on the tongue tag which is dressed in red. Completing the design of the upper is the blue leather Swoosh on the midfoot while everything is finished off by a white Air Max 1 sole unit paired with a black and blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Premium Slate Blue will release on May 25 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
