In 1986, Tinker Hatfield and Nike ushered in a revolution for The Swoosh by introducing visible Air cushioning. This feature, which has become so commonplace today, debuted on the Air Max 1, and since this fateful design first launched, it’s become a staple in the brand’s lineup. For the next season, Nike has prepped a slew of Air Max 1 colorways, including the Summit White Wolf Grey Pink colorway.
Unlike the OG construction of the Air Max 1, the pair sees a leather panel used for its mudguard, coming in pink on this colorway. We still see a mesh base, as the white mesh is present along the tongue and collar, while the wolf grey suede panels on the vamp, midfoot, and heel take on a more premium look than the felt-like suede used on others. Piercing off the grey midfoot panel is a black leather Swoosh, matching the black TPU above. More black details are on the branding atop the tongue and heel tab. Underfoot, the sneaker comes complete with a classic Air Max 1 midsole featuring white foam and a visible Air unit in the heel, paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Summit White Wolf Grey Pink releases in Holiday 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
