WOOF! Asia Gets An Exclusive Nike Air Max 1

As we approach Air Max Day on March 26th, we continue to see more and more pairs set to drop for the special day. With a set of 3 distinct Air Max sneakers scheduled to release throughout select regions of the world, it’s been revealed that Asia will receive receive a dog-inspired colorway, donned the Nike Air Max 1 “Woof,” aka "Woman's Best Friend."

To pay homage to our furry friends, Nike dresses the upper in true dog-like fashion. Down around the cream toebox we get a mismatched color combination of red and salmon mudguards. White laces work up the fur-covered tongue to the canvas. The sneaker's tongue tag comes inscribed with the Chinese character “汪”, which translates to "woof" in English. Along the midfoot, we find two overlays - one a cream leather and the other a white fur. Wrapping halfway from the mudguard to the heel is a set of bandana print overlays. The grassy covered insole comes printed with 3.26 on the heel to commemorate the special day. Rounding out the look is a two-tone brown rubber outsole set beneath a white midsole featuring a volt green exposed air unit.

The Nike Air Max 1 Woof aka Woman's Best Friend W was originally set to release exclusively in China through Nike and select retailers online and instore on Air Max Day 2022, March 26th. However, that release was delayed. They will now release on June 18th, 2022, at select retailers throughout Asia. Coming in women's sizing, retail is set at $150.
