Nike continues to uphold its legacy of retro performance basketball sneakers, and among the most iconic is the partnership with basketball legend Charles Barkley. The hallmark of their joint efforts, the Air Max 2 CB 94, remains a favorite and has recently emerged in OG builds like "White Black Old Royal" and new versions, including "Light Iron Ore.” Now, a brand-new “Baroque Brown” colorway has appeared.
The Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 "Baroque Brown" features earthy tones of baroque brown on the nubuck, present on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel overlay. Contrasting this is a hemp-colored nubuck base below. Creamy hues adorn the tongue and lace straps, creating an appealing combination with the darker tones. Black Nike branding appears embroidered on the lateral midfoot and heel, while the Air Max logo in hemp stands out on the tongue. Inside sits a sesame sock liner and cream internal bootie promoting optimal comfort. A coconut milk foam midsole rests beneath, bearing a black Swoosh above the Air Max unit in the heel. Finishing off the design is a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max CB 94 Baroque Brown will release October 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
