Nike’s Air Max 270 is one of the more recent additions to the Air Max family of sneakers, having just released for the first time in 2018. Despite this, the model received a Travis Scott remix in May of 2020. This time, Nike is painting the sneaker in gold and pink for a design inspired by the land down under.
Sail mesh makes up most of this design’s upper, with amber brown synthetic overlays near the toe and midfoot. A gold-colored Swoosh appears under the ankle, while pastel lavender accents the Swoosh at the forefoot, the lace loops, tongue branding, and pull tabs of the sneaker. Tonal branding hits are found at the heel and medial forefoot. Australia is honored with a golden “AU” on each heel, where a Swoosh is combined with the letters to create part of the A. Underfoot, a light pink midsole and heel clip add more pastel to the palette. The design is capped off with a semi-translucent gum outsole.
The Nike Air Max 270 Australia W is set to release on July 27, 2023 through Nike and select retailers, online and in-store exclusively in the Pacific region. No US release has been set at this time. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price will be $160.
