2023 has shaped up to be an exciting year for the Air Max line, as we have a slew of Air Max 1 colorways set to hit shelves, including the women’s exclusive Air Max 1 “Fuchsia Dream.” While the AM1 helped spawn the illustrious line, another retro classic has plenty of options on the way in the Air Max 90. For its latest rendition, Nike is dressing the Tinker Hatfield-designed model in a colorway paying homage to Australia.
This premium rendition of the Air Max 90 features smooth white leather on its toe box and collar, while grey leather accents are found on the mudguard and midfoot panel. Semi-translucent green TPU eyelets complement the green nubuck Swoosh and green hits on the tongue, while the lace set comes in stark white. A golden lace dubrae with Nike branding helps elevate this premium take on the Air Max 90 even further. More golden hits of Nike branding appear on the debossed logo on the lateral heel, while the insole hosts "Nike Australia" text on the right sneaker and "Nike AU" on the left. Underfoot sits a creamy midsole with white surrounding the green-tinted Air unit in the heel. The design is completed by the gum outsole.
The Nike Air Max 90 Australia (W) will release on July 27, 2023 exclusively in the Pacific region through nike.com and select retailers. This means the pair will likely not see a US release. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is TBD.
