Nike is no stranger to sponsoring the world's top athletes, notably having 73 athletes who wore the Swoosh win medals during the Tokyo Olympics. Already arriving on a Nike Dunk Low, you too can get the same feeling of winning gold (or maybe silver) in the upcoming Nike Air Max 90 “Silver and Gold” edition.
Constructed out of the usual mesh, leather and nubuck, the overlays on the silhouette feature gold and silver tones throughout. The white mesh base provides a perfect canvas for the gold mudguard and midfoot panel to shine. Sitting at the bottom of the eyelets, a gold Nike lace dubrae appears on both sneakers, starting the white laces off in style as they work up the white tongue.
Sandwiched between the gold and silver overlays on the midfoot, the Nike Swoosh in white makes an appearance. Along the heel tab, red Nike Air branding pops amongst the white and silver surrounding it. Rounding out the look, a white midsole with visible Nike Air bubble is paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 90 Silver and Gold W is slated to release in 2022 through Nike and select Nike Sportswear retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
