When the Air Max Plus was first introduced back in 1998, it was unlike anything that the sneaker world had ever seen. Designed by fashion veteran Sean McDowell, the silhouette boasted technologies that had never been used on any other shoe before, and featured an avant-garde aesthetic that was way ahead of its time. Even now, a quarter of a century later, the sneaker still looks like something from another dimension. As we celebrate the Air Max Plus' 25th Anniversary, Nike has unveiled a vast range of colorways that will no doubt turn heads, including the Nike Air Max Plus "Black University Blue" which will definitely be a future icon.
Just like the OG from the late '90s, this Air Max Plus features a ballistic mesh base, suede mudguards, and a unique TPU caging system that's inspired by palm trees. Vibrant university blue accents make their way throughout for a look that is sure to turn heads wherever you go, and these bright tones extend towards the TN Air Max midsole underfoot, taking over the Air bubbles and the rubber outsole. To round it all off, Swoosh logos hit the lateral and medial sidewalls, finalizing the design.
The Nike Air Max Plus Black University Blue will release in Spring 2023 in men's sizes. Set to launch at Nike and select retailers online and in-store with a retail price of $175, you definitely don't want to take a L, so keep it locked at our Twitter andMobile App for your best chance to cop!
