The Nike Air Max Plus is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2023. Various colorways have been released, but the majority have been GRs. Nike has yet to celebrate this milestone, leaving many overseas fans empty-handed. While the Air Max Plus may not have massive appeal in the US, the Tuned Air silhouette that debuted in 1998 is coveted overseas, especially throughout Europe and Australia. With some unique pairs like the F.C. Barcelona x Patta and A-COLD-WALL* collabs, 2024 is when we will start seeing more of the coveted pairs return. One of those pairs set to drop is the original Voltage Purple.
The Nike Air Max Plus Voltage Purple was among the original lineup released twenty-five years ago. Staying true to the OG, the 2024 retro comes in voltage purple and total orange. The upper is comprised of purple-based mesh with black accents throughout. Total Orange can be seen via the mini Swoosh on the sides, branding on the tongue tag, and Tuned Air cushioning throughout the midsole. The midsole comes in a classic white, sitting atop a black solid rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Plus OGÂ Voltage Purple will release in Spring 2024 through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $180.
