While every year we get introduced to a new model in the Air Max line, 2022s Nike Air Max Scorpion is one of the wildest renditions we’ve seen to date. Coming with an extra thick stacked sole unit, the silhouette hasn’t taken off like Nike would have hoped for, however, we’re still set to receive new colorways in the foreseeable future. Joining in on the release train for the model itself and Nike’s big plans for the Lunar New Year, a “Year Of The Rabbit” colorway of the Air Max Scorpion has just appeared.
Keeping its Flyknit upper, the sneaker dives into a mixture of creamy tones and light pink accents throughout the design. On the bottom half of the upper sits a standard Flyknit material in a light pink shade while the chenille-like tongue and collar come in a creamy shade of white. This comes accented by pink cords holding the grey laces in place with another pink accent appearing via the Nike Swoosh along the lateral side of the profile. Near the collar, an added embroidery of what looks to be a plant with three leaves sits just below the tail end of the Swoosh. Really driving home the rabbit theme (even though we don’t see the animal directly) is the tongue tag that features Nike branding alongside the phrase “LEAP HIGH 2023.” Underfoot, the stacked midsole comes with a split design as the top half comes in a black marble finish while the Air unit receives a clear treatment. Rounding everything out is the rubber outsole with hits of brown and black throughout the traction pattern.
The Nike Air Max Scorpion Year Of The Rabbit is set to release in 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
