Wilson Smith created one of the most iconic sneakers ever when he crafted the Nike Air More Uptempo in the '90s. With legendary ball players like Scottie Pippen rocking the sneaker on the court, the Air More Uptempo solidified its place in history. Even decades later, it remains a staple for sneakerheads, seamlessly blending performance heritage with streetwear appeal. Last year, Nike teamed with Yoon Ahn and her AMBUSH label to introduce the world to a low-top version of this classic silhouette. Building on this momentum, 2024 will mark the first inline release of the Air More Uptempo Low, with colorways like the Black Photon Dust and Dark Grey Light Crimson already being revealed. Now, a pristine White rendition is set to join the lineup.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Low White brings this classic silhouette a fresh and clean look. The sneaker maintains the design elements that have made the Uptempo iconic, featuring a leather upper. The Swoosh on the toe cap and the prominent AIR branding on the upper remain, but with a twist. This time, the AIR text is crafted from ballistic mesh instead of nubuck or leather, integrating seamlessly into the upper's design. A jewel Swoosh adorns the tongue, while another Swoosh logo graces the heel. The sneaker has been updated with an internal heel counter for added comfort. Underfoot, the signature Air More Uptempo sole unit features a visible Air unit paired with a durable rubber outsole, ensuring that this sneaker is as functional as it is stylish.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Low White will release in Holiday 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
