Nike continues to revisit Penny Hardaway’s signature lineup, specifically the Nike Air Penny 2. The model now appears in a "Reverse Mocha" iteration, adding a modern twist to a timeless classic. This pair, alongside a recently revealed Nike Dunk High, seemingly draws inspiration from Travis Scott’s iconic Air Jordan 1 Low with its earthy color palette.
This iteration of the Nike Air Penny 2 comes draped in a blend of creams, tans, browns, and accentuating red touches. The upper exhibits a nubuck panel that gracefully extends from toe to heel, seamlessly merging with foam portions from the earthy brown midsole. Directly above lies another layer of creamy nubuck adorned with meticulously placed tonal stitching. Cream-colored laces and tongue further the harmony, with the top two eyelets contrasting in red. Penny Hardaway's signature logo graces the tongue's center and the heel, with both areas accompanied by handy pull tabs. On the insole, a basketball graphic is placed in a tonal hue, similar to the aforementioned Dunk High "Reverse Mocha." The design concludes with a robust brown foam midsole, showcasing the Air unit in the heel. Complementing this is a tricolored rubber outsole in shades of red, black, and cream.
The Nike Air Penny 2 Reverse Mocha will release October 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
