Nike took it upon itself to reveal some of the brand’s upcoming releases for the next year via a showcase on the SNKRS App. In this large preview, The Swoosh announced the return of the Air Rift, a cult classic tabi-toe slip-on from 1995. Alongside the upcoming renditions over the coming seasons, Nike seems to have taken inspiration from Sandy Liang and her Salomon collab by adding pink ribbons to the model.
The silhouette, constructed with a neoprene base, is coated in light pink shades across the design. A mini Swoosh is attached to the toe, while parts of the strap on the heel come with Nike embroidered in a tonal pink hue. Embroidered details added depth to the medial side of the upper, located right below the start of the lockdown strap. Added ribbon details are placed on the heel, allowing you to lace the soft pink ribbons around your ankle for some high-fashion flair. Underfoot sits a pink foam midsole featuring Air cushioning paired with a pink rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Rift Premium Ribbons W releases in Holiday 2024 through Nike and select retailers online nadi n-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
