However, one of the latest performance basketball models — the Nike Cosmic Unity 3 —is designed with the environment in mind. The model has just emerged in a brand-new “Melon Tint” colorway.
The Nike Cosmic Unity 3 "Melon Tint" is an environmentally considerate option for hoopsters and style enthusiasts. The upper is constructed from recycled knits, featuring various colors like melon tint, campfire orange, and coconut milk. White embroidery subtly contrasts, adding a tactile dimension to the multi-colored portions around the lace set and collar. The tongue further plays with the color scheme, splitting between orange and coconut milk shades, a theme that extends even to the lace set and pull tab. Below, the sneaker is equipped with a white foam midsole featuring a cutout that reveals some knit on the midfoot. Rounding off the design is a gum rubber outsole crafted from Nike Grind, the brand's recycled material derived from manufacturing scraps.
The Nike Cosmic Unity 3 Melon Tint will release September 1, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
