This Nike Cosmic Unity 3 is Nerf Ready

The upcoming NBA season is around the corner, and Nike has a new offering in the basketball catalog. This time they are recruiting an old friend (unofficially) to help usher in the Cosmic Unity 3 “Nerf!” Fun fact: did you know that NERF stands for Non-Expanding Recreational Foam? Now I know what you're thinking, what does Nike Basketball have to do with Nerf, a super fun toy company? However, this isn't the first time these two have teamed up for a sneaker release.
The most famous is the grailed Nike KD 4 "Nerf" that came with its own hoop and ball. It was super hard to get, and even the most hardcore sneakerheads saw this release slip through their fingers, but those that got the shoe know. Due to the popularity of the colorway, Nike has used the Nerf motif for many shoes over the years, including the Air Max Plus, Foamposite Pro, and even more recently the Air Max 270. Now, the Nike Cosmic Unity 3 gets the "Nerf" treatment.
It's easy to see the Nerf influence on this Nike Cosmic Unity 3, rocking a summit white, team orange, flash lime, photo blue, and black color scheme. But don't let the colorway fool you. This shoe is still all business on the court with a lightweight low to the ground feel and cloud-like cushioning for explosive speed and quick direction changes, leaving defenders with their hands full. And just like the previous Cosmic Unity silhouettes, the Cosmic Unity 3 is made with at least 20% recycled yarns and textiles.
The Nike Cosmic Unity 3 Nerf is set to release in September 2023. It will be available at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and select retailers online and in-store.
