With vintage being all the rage in fashion, brands have taken the liberty of already aging your kicks before you can even take them out of the box. Over at Nike, their introduction of the “1985” version of the Nike Dunk High sees both a return to its OG shape as well as coming with a vintage aesthetic. While a handful of colorways have been released in 2022, next year we’re set to get more options on the model, as seen with the upcoming Nike Dunk High 1985 “Alabaster Rosewood” (W).
Dressed in shades of alabaster, rosewood, earth, night maroon, plum eclipse, and sail, this Dunk High 1985 comes in a mixture of suede, mesh, and leather. Sail hues make their mark on the upper through the lace set and heel overlay while alabaster suede appears on the mudguard and eyestays. Along the toebox, Nike Swoosh, and tongue sits a shade of purple that contrasts the quarter panel and collar’s deeper shade in the same family of colors. Embroidery nodding to the silhouette 1985 heritage is visible back on the heel with “‘85” coming in a similar shade to the overlay it's stitched upon. Underfoot, an extra vintage-looking sail midsole gets paired with a purple rubber outsole, completing the look.
The Nike Dunk High 1985 Alabaster Rosewood W is set to release on February 1st, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. A SNKRS drop is set to follow on February 28th. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is $140.
