2022 has shown us that retro and vintage kicks are in style, evident by the fact that a few releases have been dressed in shades that mimic an older pair of sneakers, think the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Chicago Reimagined" or the previously released Dunk Low Vintage. Staying in this realm is the Dunk High 85, a silhouette that copies the exact cut and structure of the original releases of the model, now appearing in a "Green Denim" colorway.
Switching up the material makeup across the overlays, the silhouette gets a two-tone mix of white and green throughout the upper. On the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, green denim accents the white leather underlays around the toebox, midfoot panel, and collar. A set of white laces runs up the same colored tongue to a black and white Nike branded tongue tag. Running across the profile of the sneaker is a green denim Swoosh, reaching back to the pull-tab borrowing the same material and color makeup. Keeping the two-tone look alive is the sockliner and insole, coming in green and white respectively. Rounding everything out is the sail Dunk midsole paired with a green rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk High 1985 Green Denim W is slated to release this Holiday 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
