The green and white upper of this Dunk High is a doppelganger of the Michigan State Dunk Low, but the gold accents and slightly different shade of green pays tribute to a different sports team. This homage to the colors worn by Australia’s national athletes, including the men’s basketball team, nicknamed “Boomers” after the slang term for male kangaroo features green smooth leather overlay panels with white underlays, similar to its low-top Michigan State cousin. Gold is threaded into the Nike branding on the white tongue tag, as “Nike” and the Swoosh logo are printed onto the heel of the insole. also in gold. A small patch of gold leather can be found on the heel as well, which is the only other hit of the color on the shoe. The white midsole and green outsole remain true to the Nike Dunk colorblocking.
